Tips To Improve Your AdWords

Online business success is literally built off of Google
AdWords' program. If you're not advertising with Google AdWords
right now, you really need to consider it. Although it's not
for everyone, it's a great opportunity for most businesses
to drive warm leads to your site.
If you area advertising with Google AdWords, here are some
ways that you can improve your advertising.
1. First, make sure your website has great copy that actually
sells your product. Don't bother creating AdWords or trying to
refine them if you can't sell them when they get to your site.
2. Second, limit your audience. Don't target everyone in the
world with your ad. Target only the countries you can
reasonably expect to serve. If you have a digital product,
you can target more countries, but if you sell a physical
product, don't bother selling to places where you can't afford
to ship your product. By limiting your prospects (which you
can do when you sign up for AdWords) you'll ensure that the
impressions your ad receives are to an audience that is
actually your target audience. ("Impressions" are when
your ad appears because the keyword was typed in)
3. Third, use Google's AdWords discounter. This is a way
to reduce your cost-per-click but still stay on top of the
competition! With Google AdWords discounter, you simply set
the maximum you want to spend per click but Google just
charges you slightly more than the next person. That way,
you're still out-bidding your competition but you can
control your budget.
4. Fourth, use your AdWords to split-test. Split-testing is
when you create two web pages and have your AdWords ad send
half those who click to one web page and the other half to the
other web page. That way, you can test to see which one is the
better web page.
5. Fifth, constantly monitor your AdWords and get rid of the
under-performers. Rather than hanging on to them because they
send you .05% of your customers each month, cut your losses
and spend that money elsewhere. As well, continually tweak your
AdWords to get a higher click-through rate. Remember that your
ranking amongst AdWords depends on a combination of what you
pay and how often your ad gets clicked. Can you do something
to get your ad clicked more often?
6. Sixth, consider advertising with Google AdWords Local,
which will actually place your ad on a map! This works well
if you have a business that serves offline customers, too.
AdWords are going to be big for a long time to come. Google
continues to do really well when it comes to innovation and
clever marketing. Take advantage of AdWords and build your
business!
