How to Use Craigslist

Have you heard of Craigslist? It's a place where you can
target a local audience with a classified add. You can try
to sell a product or a service. You can also find jobs, a
mate, community information, and much more. Craigslist has
been called the new eBay but it really goes beyond what eBay
does.

Craigslist was founded in 1997 by Craig Newmark in San
Francisco, California. The company continues to be based in
San Francisco.

There are a lot of Internet Marketers who have made a lot of
money off of Craigslist. There are many ways you can do it.
But before you actually start making money you need to first
get started on the site.

The actual address of Craigslist is Craigslist.org. You go
there and then you complete the posting form and submit the
posting. You'll get an e-mail that has a link to another
form that you need to fill-out. With this form you'll be
able to make changes and then submit the posting yourself.
Your posting should show-up in Craigslist within 15 minutes
or so.

It's important that you keep the e-mail they sent you so
that you have the link you need to get back into your
posting should you need to make any other changes. You can
also delete your post using that link. However, if you
happen to lose the link then you can request to have another
link sent to you.

It's really just that easy for making a post on Craigslist.
Of course it is for local sales so you will only be able to
post your ad to one particular area or city.

You can also make money on the site by looking at what
others want or need and then finding that item for them and
selling it to them. Or a neat little trick you could use is
to see what people are looking for on Craigslist and then
going over to eBay to see if that item is there. Then if you
find it, tell the person at Craigslist that you found the
item on eBay.

The key here is for you to be an affiliate for eBay. Then
when you tell the person on Craigslist that you found the
item on eBay and you give that person your affiliate link.
That way you make money off the sale.

That's just one way you can make money off of Craigslist.
With over 15 million people using the site every single
month, you certainly have the power to market to a lot of
people. It's simply a case of you going out and discovering
the best way for you to make the best and biggest profit.

Everyone has heard of affiliate marketing, and most people
know what it is. There are, of course, a few individuals
who haven't a clue in the world what is is. For those who
do not know, an affiliate marketer is someone who promotes
another business's products via links. People who click on
those links are directed to the product site. From there,
if the individual chooses to purchase the product,
approximately 25 to 75 percent of the product's worth is
paid to the affiliate.

Affiliate marketing is a very profitable online business
to get involved in. People who market products via links
have the choice to market as many as they have time for. Of
course, there is a certain amount of time and energy
required in order to make a legitimate living. Marketing is
a career just like every other. It takes effort and daily
work hours to turn out a reasonable profit.

Can anyone become successful as an affiliate marketer?
Absolutely, but you have to promote and advertise like
there is literally no tomorrow. You'll need a website for
all of your links. You can choose to have them all on one
site, or create several sites for each link. Either way, a
website or blog is required for promotion. This will help
to attract people and lead them to click your links.

In order to get people to come to your site, you will need
to do things to generate traffic. You can do this by using
SEO techniques such as inserting keywords into your
content. When you create your website, include information
and facts about the product. Insert keywords that are
relevant to your site so that people can find your page.
The words people type into search engines when attempting
to find information are referred to as keywords. If you're
not sure of what keywords to use, think about what you
would type into your search engine if you were attempting
to find information on the product that you're promoting.

Now that you've got people coming to your affiliate
marketing site, you'll need to get to work on advertising.
It will take some time before people start gravitating
toward your website, but do not worry, it won't take
forever. In the meantime, create a personal Twitter,
Facebook, and Myspace account specifically for advertising
your websites and links.

Let people know upfront that you are a business person,
but do not spam them. Just suggest that they visit your
links and websites by inserting the addresses into your
status bar. If they visit, then great. If not, then keep
trying, someone will eventually become interested. The key
is to keep adding more people.

Another way to become successful in affiliate marketing is
to keep your websites updated. Continue to add more
information each week or month (whichever you prefer) to
keep things interesting. If you would like, throw in a
little extra and maybe even go off subject a bit to keep
readers interested. A lot of having a successful online
business in affiliate marketing is getting people to like
you as an individual. Possibly add recipes, talk about your
day, some of your favorite hobbies, etc. People love
getting personal, especially on blogs and websites. You'll
get a lot more subscribers this way, and have a lot more
individuals who are interested in the links that you have
to offer.

Take as much time as you can each day to make sure your
websites are in top form. Talk about what is so wonderful
about the products being offered. One mistake to avoid is
signing up to advertise links to a product you wouldn't
purchase for yourself. People are going to know if you're
passionate about what you're offering, and if you're not,
then they won't passionate about making a purchase.
