Ten Tips to Create a Good Web Banner

Banner deign is a most important factor of any interactive
advertising. A web banner should be both attractive and
interesting. Let us see few tips in detail which would help
us to create the good web banners.

1.Eye catching line
You need to spend lot of time to create the catchy line,
if you are planning to have the copy of a corporate banner
design, you should think something that would create the
interest and would attract the viewers to click on banner.
The line must be small phrase, few words also it must be
visually appealing. Make sure that you are using the
correct colors and fonts.

2.Good copy
Keep your copy short and simple. So spend lots of time in
thinking that what will interest the viewers. The text
should be practical and informative. It should go along the
punch line.

3.Relevant picture and content
Ensure that the pictures and content used in the banner is
relevant to product and services you offering in your
website.

4.Include website URL and logo
It is desirable to use both the site address and logo in
your banner as it will help you to create your corporate
identity too.

5.Click here
The presence of click here helps to increase the click-
through rate. The phrase must be presented long. (3-4
seconds)

6.File size
You should keep the file size of a banner to the minimum.
A reason is very simple, as the banners are displayed on
the top of the web, so they must be immediately loaded till
the time visitor move to the next page. Studies have
provided a fact that the visitors spend hardly ten seconds
with the page, therefore the banner should display
everything in this time.

7.Using flash
Banners which are developed in flash get the higher click
through rates than the animated GIFs. Flash is actually a
new area in web ad design and banner.

8.Blue text
Viewers understand the blue underlined text as a link. So
if you have an idea that the banner is going to be
displayed out in web page. With the white background than
you should create the banner with the blue underlined.

9.Many banners for the single campaign
If you do not know your target audience than it is
important that you should have 5 to 10 banners as the
single banner would not be sufficient. Therefore you must
keep rotating all the banners

10.Professional look
Ensure that your banners look professional. Images which
you have used should be clear, they should not look blurred.
